Dang! Little did I know what an experience I was in for when I started watching this AppleTV+ limited series starring Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline. "Disclaimer" based on Rene Knight’s novel of the same name, it was written for the screen and directed by Alfonso Cuaron.
At its core, this is a revenge story
Blanchett plays Catherine, a journalist whose secrets from her past resurface in disturbing ways, forcing her to confront a past that is ruining her entire life. This was a masterfully told story that took us on an exciting journey of discovery as the audience is shown (sometimes in vivid detail) the "events" about Katrina’s past. Blanchett is fantastic here, as always, and Kline gives a solid performance as well.
Various episodes feature quite graphic depictions of sex/intimacy
It was surprising to see Sacha Baron Cohen in a more serious role, but he did it justice. Despite a couple/some minor gripes, I highly recommend this series if you like character dramas with some added tension/intrigue. Note.

It’s not action-packed, and it took me about half an episode (about 30 minutes) before I finally got the hang of it; to the story. But boy am I glad I stuck around.
