Discover the secret of a town in the central United States that traps anyone who enters. As the townspeople struggle to maintain a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest. Known as the Beaver Bank Mansion, it has a long history and was once home to apartments, a community center, a fire station, a school, a church, a grocery store, etc. (all demolished by 2004) to support workers at a nearby military radar base that operated in the 1950s and 1960s.

All that remains are the cobblestone streets and driveways on which the fake town was built. When Boyd climbs behind a distant tree, he finds himself at the bottom of a well. A rope is thrown to him by (presumably) Martin in the room above, despite the fact that his wrists are chained together. It’s definitely really cool
I’ve really enjoyed this show so far, the acting, the mysteries, etc. However, I’m starting to get a little worried that it’s all going the same way as “Lost” in terms of the atmosphere. While “Lost” was also a fantastic show in terms of the acting, directing, etc. I got annoyed at the very end by how many mysteries were supposed to be mysteries.
It’s never mentioned or explained in any damn way
Watching the second season, I found myself getting a little annoyed whenever another strange mystery would pop up, whether it was a symbol, an object, a thing, an event… mostly because I can’t help but think, “Is this going to mean anything in the long run?” Is it just one of those mysterious fog creatures, a hatch, a light, etc.? Because that kind of crime writing just gets on my nerves eventually, because the writer can reach up their ass and pull absolutely anything out and never come back to it. OK, next.
there’s a llama in a red hat who whispers the words “paleontological” and “spatula”!” and that’s it, it’s forgotten about one season later, without explanation, it was just supposed to be weird
I’ll keep watching anyway, but if one day it ends on the level of “it was all in his head!” and doesn’t even try to tie some thematic logic to it all, then consider this review at least 2-3 points lower…
